Carden thankful for lessons learned

Clarinda native becomes one of nation's top business motivational speakers

Clarinda taught Chad Carden how to measure success and now he is sharing those same lessons with businesses and people around the world.

"Clarinda had a huge impact on me. It taught me values, how to treat people and right from wrong," Carden said. "Growing up I couldn't wait to get out of there, but now I see things through different eyes. Clarinda is a big part of me and made me who I am today."

Who Carden is today is president of The Chad Carden Group, a customized leadership and sales consulting firm based in St. Louis, Mo.

"The Chad Carden Group is all about helping businesses and people succeed," Carden said. "We customize our approach to every one of our clients whether it is a company or an individual. Whatever their key business objectives are, that is what we try to build our consulting around."

Carden has also just released his second book entitled P.E.P.P. - Preparation, Execution, Persistence, Patience - A Rulebook To Achieving Success In Any Area Of Your Life.

"There are many different definitions of success. The first step in the book challenges you to develop your personal definition of success. Second, it helps you customize a plan to reach your definition and, third, helps you execute that plan," Carden said.

The book officially launched Jan. 25 and has already proven to be highly popular.

"It's been a huge success. In the first week it moved up 76,000 book slots on Amazon as we had a lot of people go out and buy it, and AT&T and Farmers Insurance bought books for some of their employees," Carden said.
