Iowa Native Becomes One Of The Nation's Top Business Consultants

"Growing up in Iowa had a tremendous impact on who I am today. It taught me values, how to treat people, and common sense between right and wrong"

The #1 asset companies have today is the untapped potential of their people. In a resently released book entitled P.E.P.P. - Preparation, Execution, Persistence, Patience - A Rulebook To Achieving Success In Any Area Of Your Life, this Iowa native credits his Iowa upbringing for giving him the key toward gaining success. As President of The Chad Carden Group, a customized leadership and sales consulting firm, we are all about helping businesses and people succeed.

My book is for people who care about helping people set themselves up for success by helping people change the way they look at life, I have been on this journey to help people for the past 12 years. I have had the privilege to work with over 100,000 people all across the globe, and work with them to get on the right path to success (however they define the word "success"). Through self-help, motivation, financial planning, career planning, business planning, leadership and sales development, and building self-confidence, I have seen a lot of people who are truly searching for answers about themselves and their very own lives. I decided to write this book to help as many people as possible with the power of P.E.P.P. Every page of this book can and will help you improve your life if you actually take action with my suggestions.

Improving one's life is a two-way street. First, one must know what do to and how to do it, and second they must take action! I have run across a lot of people who hear but don't listen, others who listen but don't understand, others who understand but don't agree, others who agree but don't think they have the ability to accomplish, and finally those who have the ability to accomplish but don't execute (no action). It is my goal to get you to execute and improve your life and reach success (however you define "success").

I am anxious to see how people are improving, and also ready to be challenged. I invite all of you to get on this bus of improvement! By reading this book, you think about ways you can take immediate action that will move you in the right direction towards your dreams, goals, and desires, in any area of your life. Taking the first step is sometimes the hardest, but once you do and you create momentum it is amazing what results you can and will produce. Remember to always be moving forward in a positive direction! You will read many times in this book about getting out of the "rocking chair" mode. A rocking chair never moves forward, and we always want to be moving forward. Whether you move forward an inch or a mile, that doesn't matter, as long as you are moving in a positive direction.

P.E.P.P was written with the intention to help you see the process of success as manageable and realistic. Anything we do in life these four key elements play a very important role. We must prepare before we go into battle. We must execute our plan, or our plan is worthless. Action is required along with having a positive outlook that good things will happen. We must persist! We must not let little obstacles stand in our way. Finally we must have patience. Things take time to work. We live in a world of instant gratification, where people want things and they want them now. People want to become the best, the "Warren Buffett" of their industry, yet they are not willing to go through what the best go through to be the best. These examples can go on forever. We must be willing to have patience as we prepare, execute, and persist!

I want to help reader's see success as a fun journey. People must have fun in life or things become stale. Through stories and analogies this book will keep you engaged from the first page to the last, and readers can learn from P.E.P.P. and realize that where successful people are today, doesn't happen by accident...it happens on purpose!

In the end, this book is different than any other. With a step by step process, you will have the formula to have success in life, both personally and professionally, however you define success. The book also, comes along with your own personal journal to help you write you own success plan and then execute that plan.

Book Summary:

Preparation: One must prepare before going into "battle". No matter what skill level, the ones who are prepared rise to the top. Whether it be a sales call, a college test, or a professional baseball team getting prepared for the season (spring training), everyone must do some pre-call planning in their life. This is one of the biggest challenges we face. So many people want to "Wing it". Their financial life, their business career, or their relationships. This is why so many people don't rise to the top. They fail to prepare.

Execution: The biggest obstacle one faces on the journey of success is action. Most people think that positive thinking alone will get the job done, but without taking action it is very hard to achieve anything great. Positive thinking is great, and something everyone should practice, but combining that with excellent execution is what allows people to rise to the top.

Persistence: To be successful one must have persistence on a daily basis. However you define success, circumstances will arise in life that put up barriers, and keep people from reaching their dreams. The ones who succeed have persistence, and make sure they overcome all obstacles and barriers because the "prize" is greater than the "price".

Patience: Rome wasn't built in a day. If people want to succeed they must have patience. We live in a world where people want instant gratification, they want to be at the top of their profession, but don't want to do what it takes daily/weekly/monthly to get there. Also, people in the spotlight didn't get there overnight, it takes many ups and downs, and patience to watch a plan to come to fruition.

For someone who cares about helping people set themselves up for success by helping people change the way they look at life, I have been on this journey to help people for the past 12 years. I have decided to write this book to help as many people as possible with the power of P.E.P.P. Every page of this book can and will help you improve your life if you actually take action with my suggestions.
